some advertisment

The juniors seem to be in charge of the year end trip. I guess there's nothing better than some computer media propaganda to sway your minds. Check out this Youtube video of beautiful bikini ladies, perfect sunsets, exciting climbing and 'rocking' good times.

No use crying over spilt blood

Bank robber: aiyah! steal the toilet bowl from NKF, why not gold-plated one? *sob* knn......

No ah, it's Jups with a head injury from today's gym cleanup. Next time, everyone please keep a lookout for each other. There were many near-misses today (i almost ended up in the same state). And Kesheng, don't feel bad! You never intended that to happen, and I'm pretty darn sure nobody blames you in any manner. Accidents happen. :)

Anyway, good work with the cleanup. The gym is nearly clutter-free. Let's keep it that way. I need a clean sleeping environment. And I'm not Janitor Jensen anymore, please don't keep asking me what to do during cleanups!

This is hilarious

Daffodil is like: Why is Adrian making me do this stupid shit.

Adrian is like: I'm the coolest ultraman sign doing dude on the face of this earth. So screw you.

Team Rocket Post Camp Report

In the spirit of Team Rocket, this is my post camp report! Since I am Team Rocket’s captain, this automatically becomes the official team rocket’s camp report!!!

Official Team Rocket’s Camp Report!!!

The camp is tiring. There is waaay too much running: Running while playing catching, captain's ball, ultimate Frisbee, eagle and chicks and some other games lah. The maximum amount of running that I was expecting to do is to run along a Cartesian axis only, i.e. along the x-axis only. But nooooo! We ran too much zzz.

Satay muttons are super hard to barbecue since the meat is so thick and dense. This is unlike the chicken satay which is more porous, leading to a more efficient heat distribution within the meat itself.

Some of the best scenes that I will remember are:

  • Doris shouting “it’s not me, it’s not me!” during the catching game. You see, we the runners are walking to our hiding place, with me behind. I saw Doris running towards us, so I just shouted, “they are coming!” And thus we left poor Doris behind muahaha although she really was one of us.
  • My mortal serving us food during barbecue. Good job!
  • Other junior girls barbecuing food for us. The satay tasted better during that moment oosh!
  • Oh, “TEAM ROCKET OOSH!”

Please accept my gratitude to my rocket team for being there.

  • Thank you to Zhao Xiu, Regina, Daffodil and Eileen for ignoring me during our strategy meetings
  • Junjie for understanding my lewd jokes and cheem talk
  • Charlene for injecting life into the team
  • Charles for being the rational one…or else team rocket would had just disrupted everything
  • Sumitro for being the only junior guy but your energy already seem like 3 junior guys combined
  • ZX for reminding me that there is a bigger idiot out there hurhur
  • John for being Mr. Masculine, I know you do not like to be in the limelight but thank you for putting up a good show muahaha and
  • Thank you Zhao Xiu, Regina, Daffodil, Eileen and Sumitro again for being in my team, I am sure that you all will grow up to be fine people. What, you do not know what are fine people? Look at some of your seniors, those are the fine people that brought you Rock Camp 2007. The committee, those who helped out and those who participated. The finest of them all is the one typing this muahaha.

Post Rock camp '07

Hello hello, rarely post here, but i shall talk about the camp that's just concluded.

Firstly thanks to Jensen n co. for organizing the camp, some minor hiccups here and there but guess it was still fun right? And shag too. :P

Thanks also to the people who came with the right spirit and were quite on during the camp, couldn't possibly had a fun camp without you people. Cant possibly talk about everybody here, but one great example is Adrian, whose antics entertained one-and-all. Thanks Adrian, keep up the good work.

Of course, not forgetting the dinos who came and educated us about our history, connect us to our 'roots'.

Lastly, good luck to whoever is going to organize next year's camp, you can always consult Jensen since he'll still be around next year, appoint him as camp advisor! ;)

Well, thats all for now. Hope the camp has managed to brought the team closer and lets carry on the spirit till next year's boulderactive!

Realization ( first descent)

Just a random picture. Enjoy. For more doing it wrong pictures.... www. doingitwrong.com

Five things about me! :)

Okay let's start off with a picture!

haha okay that's not really me, but it's how my flower relatives look like in case you do not know.

1. I have an elder sister who is 22 this year and studying in the US, so basically I've not seen her for more than a year! Sadly my friends think I look older than her, and i don't think she looks like me. And no, she is not named after a flower, in case you were wondering. Her name's Amelia and not chamomile or hibiscus. I get that question too often and a lot of people amuse themselves thinking of possible flower names for my sister.

2. I don't like man u. Haha i don't really watch soccer (i used to watch a bit when my sister was still in singapore cause she would watch), but i just enjoy not supporting man u and watching them lose. I like west ham, though i'm definitely not an ardent supporter. I just like supporting the underdogs, and when i first starting watching they were about to get relegated. Well ok, they did get relegated, but hey they're back. :)

3. I'm short sighted but i don't wear contact lenses, so i go around half blind most of the time. Okay i'm not that blind, but coupled with the fact that i tend to be lost in my own world and not look at what's around me, there's a high chance i'll not see you and ignore you. so i apologise in advance should that ever happen.

4. My chinese is really quite terrible, and there are people who laugh when i speak chinese. Which is sad. And i've had taxi drivers speaking to me in malay. Oh and recently a taxi driver thought i was a lecturer from hong kong! Hahaha. people have asked me if i was korean, eurasian etc.. But the funniest would have to be the fact that my secondary school classmate insisted I looked mongolian. Apparently there are a lot of people who need glasses more than me!

5. Lastly, well, i've been through bmt. haha i'm saying this so that people won't start asking me about it during 5km runs! :) Ok quite a number of you already know about this, but for those who don't know and might potentially ask me, i was with the saf for 3 plus months. I was there because i was provisionally awarded some scholarship, and we could go try it out. Sort of. Cause we would only sign the bond in june, so we could leave anytime before that. I left because i could not find any suitable vocation, so although i went over to air wing as a pilot trainee, i never really wanted to become a pilot. And i think i would have crashed the plane and flunked the course at some point. :x I like it better on land. Haha i think i do rather er unusual things.. i took food and nutrition for O levels too. But no, i'm not a great cook. I need the help of recipes. And just another random fact: i think fish are one of the ugliest creatures on earth. cockroaches too. Erk.

Well, just in case you don't know who i am i shall kindly put up a picture. Haha. Strictly for your entertainment, here's a picture of me and my buddy who's as tall as me. And in a helmet and no.4! Woohoo!

haha i might just end up taking the photo down in a while. anyway i'm done. and shaoting it's your turn! :)

OK the 5ive things everyone seems to be waiting for

Just a little crowd warmer :Þ

Ok to the post itself. Well I hate to be repetitive, but I'm not very interesting either ha ha but after much brain racking and hair pulling, here are the five things about me that I'd like to think are interesting:

1. I'm an Arsenal fan. So is my daddy. And yes the 2 statements are related, since my daddy and I (and sometimes my brother, who is a ManUre fan) used to go to my grandmother's house to watch footie and he only watches Arsenal matches so I get to see the Gunners play a lot (: Ironically, now that we have cable TV at home, I haven't got much time to watch them play, but I still love them. And just for the record, I think we're gonna beat Sevilla. Go Gunners!!
2. I have 2 cats that I love like nuts: Kat and Olly. Kat is a male Siamese cross-breed and Olly is a female tortoisehell. My sister found them both when they were poor defenseless kittens; Kat was picked up on the first day of CNY 7 years ago near the dustbin at our void deck and Olly was rescued from one of the classroom drawers (yes, drawer) in my sister's school 2 years after we adopted Kat. Olly is female and she's younger but she's damn naughty and she always bullies Kat. Olly sleeps on my parents' bed at night and Kat sleeps on mine. Here they are, Olly on the left and Kat on the right. If you look closely you'd see that Kat has blue eyes (:

3. I have pretty liberal music tastes. I grew up (and still enjoy) listening to my parents' music i.e. music from the 70s and 80s, so I can pretty much name any oldie you wanna throw at me ha ha. Not really a fan of music made nowadays, but I do listen to some contemporaries like Maroon 5, Coldplay, John Legend, Franz Ferdinand. Watched my first rock concert, the Franz Ferdinand concert, last year and it was absolutely fabulous. Jumped and screamed and came out half deaf :Þ Love the music that is played in the rock gym, by the way. On a somewhat random note, this is Adam Levine, the hot frontman of M5 :)

4. I don't like to take aeroplanes. I only started disliking flying after the plane I was on hit an air pocket on the return trip of a family holiday. An air pocket basically means that for some reason there's not enough lift under the plane, so it drops. Like a multi ton metal rock through the air, not fun trust me. I was younger then, about 7, and I totally didn't expect it, so it was scary as hell. I especially don't like the feeling when I drop from a great height, so if you see me wince when jumping off a high wall you know why :Þ But I do enjoy watching planes land and take off at Changi. I also attended the Asian Aerospace show once, which was damn cool.

5. Speaking of machines, I love to car watch, especially along Orchard Road. Sometimes you get damn nice cars around the ECP area as well, I've seen a Lambo once and a Ferrari at least 3 times. Love the sound and the sight of fast cars, for some inexplicable reason. I saw a Maserati in school once (!!) and nearly died, it was super sexy, though I dunno what the heck it was doing on campus.. Would love to own a Porsche someday, cause I'd drown in a large car like a Jag or even a Beemer. The pic below is not a Porsche though, it's the super fine Lamborghini Gallardo (:

Yep so that's about all. Since the tag board sounded damn sian, here's something to brighten your day. It's a little vulgar (actually the words are beeped out) but if you don't mind, it's super cute and super funny. Enjoy! http://youtube.com/watch?v=lzWqBMkOaR4

Right...I just noticed my name comes out as none. Actually most people call me Diana. And I tag...Daffodil next! *evil laughter*

some climbg advice for a kick start

Er, I seem to see the Freshies only climbing during the allocated climbing days. If you're able to afford the time or energy, do come down and climb more often it'll be hugely beneficial :)

Bon Voyage...

Thanks for the great moments you brought to our team during your stay!

And we will miss you.
Take care back home.

my 5 things

I'm even more n00b than you Sum. This is my FIRST ever post on a blog! :P

That's me in the middle. We turned up in the primary colours without any prior planning haha. Another girl came in green. We looked like the teletubbies :P

Ok 5 things about me:

1.
BROTHER. My brother is 180cm while I am 158cm. We are proof of Mendel's Law of Independent Assortment! (Bio students would know what I mean haha) I remember when we were younger and we met relatives during CNY, our conversations would always go like this:

Relative: (looks at brother) This year taking O levels right?
Brother: Nope next year. I'm only sec 3.
R: Ohh ok... (looks at me) Then you, this year sec 1?
Me: No sec 2.
R: Oh. (pauses a while) wah so fast sec 2 already ah

-_-

But I still enjoyed CNY of course (:

2.
FURRY FRIENDS. I've never actually had pets but my neighbour has had many many which I helped to take care of. We've had 18 hamsters, 3 rabbits and 1 guinea pig. I loved the hamsters most! They're soooo adorable especially when they sneeze :D (they do that when you bathe them cos I guess they catch colds too) Now my neighbours have fish and a cat but they also feed the stray cat in our block. She comes all the way up to our floor where she has her own food and water bowls and basket. She's pretty smart cos she knows only to take the lift with me or my neighbours. Then you have to hold the door open for her while she takes her own sweet time to come out. She is a very lucky cat [:

3.
MAROON5. I listen to a wide variety of music, from Linkin Park to Corrinne May, but the only band I would willingly pay to watch even if their concert's the night before a major exam (or climbing competition :P). I know the lyrics to most of their songs. It used to be ALL their songs but then they came out with a new album recently so the lyrics haven't fully sunk into my head haha.

4.
SCOLIOSIS. I have two titanium rods in my back from a surgery I underwent in 2003 to correct my curved spine. Plus, a looong scar down my back and another one on my hip where they got a bone graft from. Couldn't do PE for a year and was supposed to avoid vigorous activity. Early this year, I was fully discharged (ie. no more follow-up appointments). At that last consultation I actually asked my doctor if I could do rock climbing and he gave me the green light (: And no, I have no problems with metal detectors, if you're wondering...

Because I can't think of anything else,
5.
RANDOM. These are the things I thought of posting until I read the rest of the posts and realised my 5 things had to be longer than one sentence each. Here goes: I eat muffins from bottom-up, ice-cream cones too. All my bedsheets have teddy bears on them even though I don't particularly like them. I used to be in the choir, archery and library society! it doesn't get anymore diverse than that haha. I was top PSLE student in my primary school (despite never being in the top 3 in all 6 years. I felt quite bad for the girl who was supposed to be the top scorer :/). My chinese sucks but I love my chinese name too! 陈怡薇 (:

That's it! I tag my bestest buddy and partner-in crime DIANA :D

Sum's 5 greatest mysteries...

Allright... After 15 mins of searching and exploring I'm finally here at this window that I can write something -_- well.. u'll know later why i took so long... so here we go:

<1st> umm.. well it might sound ridiculous... but i still have to admit that I have posted 2 and only 2 blog entries ever since the beginning of time. Ya.. Sum just dun like to blog... the first one was for my jc council blog, the second one is wat you are reading now... that's y it took me centuries to find the right button to get me here... (to Jensen: now u know wat i actually meant when i said i will try to log in - )

<2nd> And this i'm sure nobody knows yet.. I have once broken my right shin bone... that was when I was in primary... ... ... primary 2 i think... yup... and it wasn't because i started climbing then nor did i ever attempt any free solo at the age of 7 years old... instead it was because I happen to walk pass the school court and a BIG primary 6 girl (I guess everyone was big when u were 7) landed on my leg after she attempted to jump across some barrier... well... 3 months of home schooling...

<3rd> This one will be of particular interest to geraldine... cox actually I am not exactly fluent in bahasa indonesia.... I'm an indon chinese (that's if you haven already known by now) and i dun speak bahasa most of the time when i was in my hometown unless i really had to... Of course i have no problem understanding but expression wise it has become a bit rusty... lol...
and actually my native is hokkien and mandarin, those were the tongues i use to speak to my parents and siblings and friends back at home... and during my 7 year stint in this cosmopolitan city i managed to pick up teo chieuw and a slight canton ( still learning ).. but dun worry geraldine, i can still handle your 'apa kabar..?' haha.... (tenang saja, kalimatnya benar kok, tak ada yang salah.)

<4th> Sum preferred mode of transport is motorbike. haha.. started riding when i was 15 i think... my hometown is a small town... so bike is the dominant mode of transport.. i really like the feeling of cruising on the bike... this is bad, but i like to ride without helmet, cox the kick is the feel of the breeze that brushes through your hair and skin... indescribable... u gotta try it to understand... but not in singapore i hope...

<5th> lastly, my chinese name is 杨伟中 (yang2 wei3 zhong1)... i like my surname... it means the willow tree, which has great tenacity of life and is known to have extensive roots that crack walls and pipes in search for moisture. That i endeavor to achieve.

ok.. that's all folks... and now... a very complicated algorithm, which i shall not explain, that generates random names from our name list has yielded the result.... yi wei! yes, your turn now!

Metolius Rock Rings

I'm contemplating to buy a pair of rock rings from CA. So I would like to hear your opinions, on:
  • whether its worth buying
  • whether it aids our training
  • where we can place them in the gym

Thanks!

Here's more info: http://www.metoliusclimbing.com/howto-trainrockring.htm

five things about gerry you may not know...

hello! this is geraldine reporting for blog duty. =) and here are five things about me:

1) apa kabar? haha i am learning bahasa indonesia now and its the most fun thing i've ever studied! actually my interest was melayu, but indon has lower bid points and its easier to score so i picked indon. yup my interest is in languages, cos i feel that its the most practical skill and can be used all the time. i studied jap before too, but lost interest and quit after 3 years. =( forgotten all but the simplest things. haha. but sometimes while speaking bahasa i tend to blurt out jap cos the syllables are so similar! oh and after mastering bahasa, another language i would most like to master is cantonese. =)

2) ehh... i believe in doing things with an attitude of enthusiasm and spirit of excellence! but i may not live it out in certain areas of my life like in studying mathematics if i have concluded that it is not that important to me or anybody. =D

3) here's a bit of what starting up rock as a cca in vj meant to me - i didnt actually think it would be approved when i submitted the proposal (kinda half hoping it wouldnt, so it would save me a lot of trouble...) i actually wanted to join odac haha but looking back i have no regrets things worked out this way! and my personal dreams for vj rock was that it could be a place of acceptance and happiness and love. <3

4) i like nature and furry animals and stars and mountains and nature and more nature. minus cockroaches. they inspire me. and i hope we can all help to save the environment by saving water, recycling, and disposing your litter properly. =)

5) i have a special ability! with practice, i can bark like a dog... =D the small small cute cute kind. but i have no volume control. its quite loud. so i dont really like to demo. haha.

yup hope that was interesting in some way. next person is sumitro! (this is NOT random, i am using him to practice my bahasa! haha!)
mas sumitro, bagaimana kabarnya? haha. silakan tulis dalam blog ini. =) --> correct me if i'm wrong please. =)
oh and have a nice week you all! =D

Climb On '07!

Just some observations during Climb On for the new climbers, since i belonged to the group of dedicated spectators during the event. Seniors most prob have heard this for uncountable number of times. BE WARNED.

1. FOOTWORK
Can't stress this enough for the new climbers. Have to refer examples to the guy climbers as i didn't watch the girls climb. Don't mind ya? We're all learning; no personal vendettas. Sumitro - remember the feature you couldn't step on? Not so much of poor footwork but an area which needs improvement in order to step on these tricky pockets. Weiliang - observed that each time you made a move, the first point of contact off the wall is not your hand but your feet; dont over-emphasize on your arms, feet is equally important for stability and pushing force.

2. ROUTE READING
There's a difference between plain OBSERVING the route and READING the route. Not sure if Heng Hong you are aware of this. Observing is merely looking at the tiles of the route whereas reading involves PLANNING your moves, assessing possible cruxes and where certain moves might be made. Like all things in life, the execution may not go according to plan, but at least it serves as the basis for your improvision.

3. FLEXIBILITY and BODY TENSION
Much neglected aspects of climbing, though currently drilled into the basic training now. Build on it and high footholds and weird angles will no longer be a problem.

That's enough to work on for now. My recommendation to you peepz is to climb more in general but if you want to have some focused training areas, start with these first. Finger strength, endurance and power are prominent aspects which naturally receives a lot of attention, but building your foundation upon the above points will only enhance your development of these core competencies and overall climbing ability and technique.

Remember, don't lose faith, enjoy the sport of climbing and have patience. Cheers!

The JOY in Climb On '07

A BEEG HELLO to one and all! dunno if you guys (the juniors) know me since i seldom appear in the gym and mostly only see u guys during events when i go down and support the team. oh well, i'm already a dino (kinda extinct) but still lurrve the sport and obviously the ppl. a warm welcome to all u juniors to the team, and i hope you'll have the time of your life in this amazing cave of ours! if you haven't already loved the team/sport, i bet you'll grow to love both in time to come!

it was great seeing the juniors enjoying themselves (though i dunno many), esp after completing the route. the seniors being oh-so-serious in sending as many routes possible within their means. pushing their limits. breaking barriers. you go climbers!

Getting the right technique is especially impt. their sit-in positions were nice (adrian's wasn't counted tho.. )

(above) This photo is specially for ZX >

SmiLes in between climbs =]

Fun after the event =D

As always, the cute couple > Ed & Charl. (hmm.. just a thought, any upcoming couples to be formed for team 07/08 ? *winks*)

*TEAM NUS!*

Lastly, here are Cher's after thoughts..

(P.S. Adrian! pls stop your ultraman pose alr.. u look so silly!!!)

my post! (kenneth sim btw)

well, i guess it's my turn eh?
the five(5) things that you may or may not want to know about me.

(1) i am quite a tech geek. i love computer stuff, and i am actually a MCSA @ the moment, although so far, i haven't been able to do anything with it, except work for Singtel to do on-site installations for wireless routers. any problems with computer, i will try to help i guess? haha. (me and my friend from smu are doing some freelance IT maintenance works for companies over the weekend, so that's why may not be able to attend trainings on sat sometimes. haha.)

(2) i am a pretty quiet person i guess, so maybe i will seem dao to some of you, but just talk to me more and i will end up to be ultimately crappy. haha. as in if i don't talk to you, is because i am dao or wad, but cause i cannot remember names for nuts. and so paiseh to ask the person's name. haha.

(3) i am not a language guy. more of a engineering guy i guess. i suck at english, chinese and dialects (canto and hokkien). conversational still not an issue. whenever exams come, i will just buang all the writing part.

(4) i am more of a jack of all trades, master of none kind of guy. that's why i like to take part adventure race. all aspects of outdoor adventure tested, and to understand the meaning of teamwork. haha. literally. fun fun =)

(5) i love to travel. been to several places so far since i finished my army, but most notable should be my backpacking trip that lasted for 48 days..other than the 10 days in taiwan. eat and eat and eat.haha..as for the backpacking trip..it is quite off the track i guess, not the traditional backpacking circuit in south east asia.

i started this wonderful journey in india , new delhi, with 3 other vjc odac friends. covered the most of northern india i guess. soon after, we crossed the border to enter nepal, and spent another 2 wks just chilling in nepal, just nua-ing there and playing bridge/shithead the whole time there. did a short trek in nepal as well though.

subsequently, went to tibet! beautiful and scenic country. haha. was snowing at night at some passes though. the main city in lhasa was just like, another beijing. it was pretty modern, had shopping centres, convenience stores, LAN shops and stuff, just unexpected of a place high up in the mountains @ 3000m. but all in all, a beautiful place.

then went to china (xi'an) only to see the terra cota, and went to hk whereby it wasn't a backpacking trip but a shopping trip rather. haha. spend and eat money like nobody business. and then came back home from hk. wished that i could backpack all the way back, but no more money. haha.

anyone who are interested to see the photos, just feel free to ask for them. i have 6000+ photos. and developed 300 though. yup.

and the next person posting shall be....geraldine! (vjc schoolmate. the person who set up something that i couldn't in vjc. haha. ended up having fun in odac.)

cheers!

Climb On

I was in my room till 11 am trying to do FYP readings. My fingers were sweating and I couldn't concentrate on anything as my thoughts were of Zhengxin(my nemesis) flashing route after route(my nightmare) and I finally couldn't take it any more.

So I shot down to Climb On with nothing but my Climbing shoes and it was great fun. Good atmosphere, familiar faces and fantastic routes. Although I couldn't complete many, I learned about my strengths and weaknesses and now, I've got some new plans for senior training.. let's all grow stronger together!

I was also very glad to see some freshies (Doris, Geraldine and Daffodil) so enthusiastic about completing routes. Good attitude!

More Climb On afterthoughts?

Skål - Skaal (Cheers!)

Here is Christer's Swedish Meal:

My poor quality pictures did not do justice to the food, cos the food was brillant! The meatball was much softer than I_E_'s, the sauce with it was fabulous. The whipped potato was really filling, and the small bites of dessert was just great. The evening was well-spent due to the presence of friends and alcoholic drinks. Christer, what do you call those raw fish in the yellow sauce?

Happy Birthday, Nita!
(CLIMB ON)

5 things about e i L e e n

Here goes!

First off, a picture to match my name and my face!

My friend and i engaged in a STARING competiton.
i'm the one on the right btw. the longer hair de.

1) I like anime and mangas.
totally rocks manz. If only text books were mangas? *eileen's eyes sparkle*
If only there were modules in nus , such as ANI1101E or MAN1101E, I will definitely throw in all my bid points to get those modules!! I read both Shoujus and shounens. And NO, I do not read hentai (Just in case you're wondering) Hmm... despite the fact that I like anime and manga that that that much, I own very few mangas and animes. Why? cox you see, technology has brought about crunchyroll, youtube, vnmanga etc etc :D free downloads and viewing. Woot! Yesh yesh, I knw, I am very giam..

2) I am quite accident prone.
I tend to get or-chae (blue blacks). I fell off the flight of stairs beside the central library this monday. Soo..this explains the huge or-chae on my shin now. That or-chae is spectacular (by my standards). It measured 7.5cm at the 2 furthest ends a couple of days after the fall. Later, after rubbing it summore, it measured 9 cm at the 2 furthest ends.
Thankfully that or-chae is fading now *phew!*

3) I can burp out loud?
yeah yeah.. its uncouth, unglam, unsightly, unsoundly....
*looks ard innocently*

4) For now, MAMBO rocks!
Nope, I do not frequent zouk on Wednesday nights. In fact, I've never clubbed in the past 19 yrs of my life -_-. Yup.. but mambo is just nice. I learnt some of the mambo moves during o week. And yupp.. that's where the liking for mambo started..

5) I keep a pocket dictionary in my bag.
Its usually in my bag. Yupps unless someone takes it out without notifying me.. the dictionary comes to good use when I am reading those readings that are filled with cheam cheam words..

Okie! Tt's all.. *Eileen looks ard*...and *Eileen points to Kenneth*.
you're up next!

ps : its really random, because i decided the pick the 27th person from the team listing, by going 1.5 rounds ard the junior guys and girls contacts. yupp.

5 random things about Doris

1) I dig the colour yellow. I think it was because I was in yellow house in primary school, and then once again during the 4 memorable years in seconday school; was made captain for the house in both primary and secondary school, so kinda had to face the colour yellow a lot of times whenever house stuff came up. When faced with an abundance of something, one will either hate it, or love it. I chose to love it. Yellow is a nice colour. :)

2) I like playing nice computer/console games, albeit selectively and on reccomendation. Currently loving Command and Conquer 3 and totally loving the Metal Gear Solid series. And oh, Doris is praying for a bubble-wrapped PS3 to land at her feet, bundled with the smallest full HD television available, which leads to point 3...

3)...I'm more of an idealist than a pragmatist. I like to dream and pray for it to come true. And when my desire is there, I'll work pretty darn hard for it/them.

4) My grasp of Chinese is kinda slippery. After 6 freaking years of Higher Mother Tongue, all I managed was a miserable F9 for the O Levels. There, I permit anyone to laugh at me for a while only please thank you. But I can speak Chinese to save my life. Bu yao sha wo, wo shi wu gu de! (Translation: dont't kill me, I'm innocent)

5) I like trekking, for example, heading to Malaysia to climb the small Gunungs (mountains in Malay) over there. It started when I was in JC ODAC and this love only developed late J2 (I had been through a hellish expedition in Malaysia late J1 climbing XX mountains in the monsoon period in XX number of days...the trip was really gruelling...so the love took a while to get ignited.) My mind kinda goes half-blank while trekking... it's a nice feeling in contrast to feverish studying... and to quote what my JC teacher would say, don't climb a mountain to conquer it. Does one really conquer the mountain? The mountain is forever and so much bigger than you. You are just a twitchy being going up this ever-winding path to the summit. Instead... let your weaknesses be conquered by the mountain... learn to overcome your weaknesses in order to be a better asset to the team and be a better moral (or even physical) support to the other people who might be struggling to ascend the mountain. In fact, my ODAC group did thank-you push-ups to thank the mountain. Sounds kinda odd but well...it's respect to the mountains and nature itself.

Er I better stop cos I could keep typing forever when I talk about my beloved ODAC... So I shall now tag Eileen!

PS: Heng Hong you so didn't pick me randomly okay. Haha.

Adrian's Response

Dear Zheng Xin,

That was July dude. Now is September liao and this is the current one. She has been around for sometime though. Bring your thumbdrive to my room and I will send her over to you.

Adrian's Real Girlfriend

See she so pretty hurhur. I think it is best to get the juniors to post REAL content, rather than the sick, same old bickering between a robot loving zhengxin and the 2D girl loving adrian.

Place your votes people; whom would you prefer to fall in love with: a robot with freaky eyes or a nice 2D girl? Yes people, life has never been sadder.
