the five(5) things that you may or may not want to know about me.
(1) i am quite a tech geek. i love computer stuff, and i am actually a MCSA @ the moment, although so far, i haven't been able to do anything with it, except work for Singtel to do on-site installations for wireless routers. any problems with computer, i will try to help i guess? haha. (me and my friend from smu are doing some freelance IT maintenance works for companies over the weekend, so that's why may not be able to attend trainings on sat sometimes. haha.)
(2) i am a pretty quiet person i guess, so maybe i will seem dao to some of you, but just talk to me more and i will end up to be ultimately crappy. haha. as in if i don't talk to you, is because i am dao or wad, but cause i cannot remember names for nuts. and so paiseh to ask the person's name. haha.
(3) i am not a language guy. more of a engineering guy i guess. i suck at english, chinese and dialects (canto and hokkien). conversational still not an issue. whenever exams come, i will just buang all the writing part.
(4) i am more of a jack of all trades, master of none kind of guy. that's why i like to take part adventure race. all aspects of outdoor adventure tested, and to understand the meaning of teamwork. haha. literally. fun fun =)
(5) i love to travel. been to several places so far since i finished my army, but most notable should be my backpacking trip that lasted for 48 days..other than the 10 days in taiwan. eat and eat and eat.haha..as for the backpacking trip..it is quite off the track i guess, not the traditional backpacking circuit in south east asia.
i started this wonderful journey in india , new delhi, with 3 other vjc odac friends. covered the most of northern india i guess. soon after, we crossed the border to enter nepal, and spent another 2 wks just chilling in nepal, just nua-ing there and playing bridge/shithead the whole time there. did a short trek in nepal as well though.
subsequently, went to tibet! beautiful and scenic country. haha. was snowing at night at some passes though. the main city in lhasa was just like, another beijing. it was pretty modern, had shopping centres, convenience stores, LAN shops and stuff, just unexpected of a place high up in the mountains @ 3000m. but all in all, a beautiful place.
then went to china (xi'an) only to see the terra cota, and went to hk whereby it wasn't a backpacking trip but a shopping trip rather. haha. spend and eat money like nobody business. and then came back home from hk. wished that i could backpack all the way back, but no more money. haha.
anyone who are interested to see the photos, just feel free to ask for them. i have 6000+ photos. and developed 300 though. yup.
and the next person posting shall be....geraldine! (vjc schoolmate. the person who set up something that i couldn't in vjc. haha. ended up having fun in odac.)
cheers!
