ok trips starts off in HK , lots of food and lots of sightseeing before the climbing actually started , finally rain decided to stop after like 3 days and we went for 1 failed bouldering trip.. mebe brian will talk on that.. not enuff space to upload more photos of that

Our first place we visited was Hua Fa Shan, part of the tsuen wan boulders , far out in the outskirts of HongKong, its about as high as bukit timah hill (roughly) so we trekked up with our stuff

view on top of the hill was magnificient , better than the PEAK. haha

found a huge boulder with a China Flag on it .. wrote there : climb up onto it at your own risk (in chinese of coz) .. of coz we climbed onto it.. who cares

it was a great boulder to climb on , with a superb undocumented route up on the highest and most inclined side.

thats kenneth on it

we all tried it .. then we realised theres a rather deep 2 digit mono on the last few moves.. DAMN PSYCHED!

cant see the last hold.. its over the lip... quite a good pocket.. just out of sight.. gotta make a blind throw for it

Aftermath of mono

Brian managed to finish the route! probably first acsent! =)

another day, went climbing with some of our newly met hongkong climbing friends at beacon hill , near shek kip mei station

not too bad belay area

the view when on the route was also phenomenal , can see a huge part of HK

and BAM .. we're in Yangshuo now

Karst scenery all around , at least thats what they call it

yay squat at the side of the street.. quite nice pic .. great background =P

we travelled around in kinda taxi/minivan to the various crags.. about 10rmb per pax each trip to and fro..
ok first climbing day went to baby frog wall , or tadpole wall , tonnes of easy climbs there. ALOT OF MOZZIES .. mebe coz its usually the place with the most people as most climbing centres bring their customers there to climb easy stuff

Next climbing day we went to the egg mountain , where we climbed at the north and north east face.. Very very sunny..kenneth got tanned.. like for 128972342seconds.. haha.. but the quality of the routes were really good and the scenery was very very different from that we saw in HK =)

Kenneth on Hustlers Roof 6c

thats me starting on the same route

third day of climbing brought us to tong men shan , or twin gate mountain, one of my favourite places. theres this 2 big caves into the wall where it was cool and nice place to put our stuff or sit down
nearby theres also a stream if we need to wash our hands and stuff.
great belay area , plenty of climbing routes. BEST =)

Kenneth and Xinyi on routes at tong men shan , dunno y kenneth is keow kar-ing .. i think hes taking his shoes off for a rest if i nv remember wrongly. haha

not everytime is an easy time for crag finding. but thats where the fun is at

ITS AN ADVENTURE! ZOMG!

ok moving on..

Ahh.. found it.. this is Baishan .. the BIGGEST crag in Yangshuo , possibly one of the most densely packed routes in Asia , lots of routes.. some joined . some 1m apart. haha.. Immense wall

im not kidding .. try to spot brian in this picture.. (dun look so high we not doing multipitch..haha)

great scenery of baishan with Brian on China White 7b

chinaclimb .. our favourite hangout at night .. more stories by brian =))

FINALLY.. the climax or CLIMBAX of the trip .. Moonhill.. Easily the most spectacular crag in yangshuo... the great arch on top of a bukit timah hill.. damn awesome!

closer view from up on the hill

insanely cool route that goes right up the middle of the arch. Moonwalker 7c .. oh yes its another spot brian contest
oh yes and by the way IT IS as scary as it looks

ok thats all for the climbing we did in HongKong and Yangshuo! hope i didnt miss anything.. if i did kenneth and brian will settle it! =)

As for Krabi i shall tag Larrisa to blog about it since its her first climbing trip! =) (correct me if im wrong)
