pai ka rantings

hullo guys..
for those who've asked about my injuries, i figured it'd be more convenient to tell everyone here. Hope it's not spam to those who don't really wanna know..
But hey, if anything, maybe it can be a lesson for all, ya?

ok so fyi, my back and wrist injuries are permanent..

my back is suffering from sthg called a degenerative disc disease.
apparently its an almost-slip disc (that's how d doctor described it)
it's sthg that a number of ppl develop when they reach the age of 50 or so.
just that i have it now (-_-)
so..the lesson from this is: watch how u land. landing squarely on ur feet with ur knees locked, that's how i got my back messed up

my wrist is sthg that's not so clear to me. when d doctor explained it, i was zoned, worrying at the fact that my back is a permanent thing.
but apparently so is my wrist..its some tendon or ligament or sthg, but he said he's seen it before. and the only way it'd recover is if i dont strain it, and even then i have to wait for years before it'll recover.
pretty much means as long as i climb, it's not gonna recover. and even if i stop, it'll take a long time to..
and..the lesson from this: slopers are quite taxing on the wrist. get strong..dont force urself to do stupid moves when u know ure not there yet

so yeah. doctor says, no more heavy lifting. and i just gotta live with the pains and aches. in case anyone's thinking why the heck is kai still climbing.
like any other injured climbers..we're climbing at our own risk.

maybe its cos im graduating and feeling damn old, but i get worried seeing our team folks get injured here and there. while shaking it off is a show of strength, please try to avoid getting injured.
