Memories of Fontainebleau

Another video of Fontainebleau. I think this is the best shot video of all that I've seen. There are many classic problems, shots of climbers cooking their meals in the gite, travelling to Paris during their rest day, playing cards in between attempts.

But more importantly, the areas featured are those that I visited during my Eurotrip with Edwin, Yixiang and Peining. The first problem you see, La Marie Rose, oh god.....a 6A which spanked the hell out of Edwin and me (hey the heat was scorching then). And the second problem, Eclipse 7C, one which I had about 30-45 minutes to fail on (I'll be back to send it). And Cul de Chien, the desert you see, is a mystical place. Where do you find a pristine white desert in the middle of a temperate forest? You gotta go there someday.

Not your typical climbing trailer

Dedicated to the fans out there! Personally, I haven't heard about this event before neither do I know how is it gonna be so spectacular. But the trailer video promoting this event is really very different. Makes me curious how they plan to hype it up and also look forward to the next trailer of the series :)

Cool Kindergarden Teacher

Short not bad video. I like the first two para found on the video page. No wonder I can't climb 8b+ yet :(

"Jen Vennon had just accepted a scholarship to the University of Florida, where she aspired to become an engineer, when some friends took her climbing for the first time. With a childhood spent in gymnastics, Vennon took to climbing immediately.

“I quickly realized that engineering school in Florida wasn’t going to work out with my newfound climbing schedule,” she says. Vennon gave up her scholarship and transferred to the University of Tennessee to be closer to climbing, and get a degree in early childhood education."
