Was browsing through really old email and saw this by my first captain of NUS climbing days.. i can feel my wrinkles growing out!



i remember getting excited about the 'refreshments'!!!!! hohohoho! :)

wow Alvin beat me to blogging abt. Climbers' Lab..hahaha. I wanted to do it last night too, but by the time i reached home, it was time for my Korean show..wahaha.Anyway, just to share a few more photos.

Climbers laboratory review

Bas Cuvier, one of the most popular bouldering areas in Fontainebleau has a nickname called the "laboratory of technique". The name climbers laboratory hence raises expectations quite a bit as well as the teaser photos on Facebook. All of us were hence looking forward to checking out this new climbing gym which has surprised many climbers in Singapore with its sudden opening.

At first sight, the gym was smaller than I thought and fell a little short of expectations (28 climbing lanes, i expected something HUuugE). However, the people there were friendly and the routes were all well set and enjoyable! We found out that there were actually many many routes to do on the many wall surfaces and even after whacking hard for 3hours, I think we completed less than 1/4 of the routes.

Another good thing is the variety of holds and the many big and interesting volumes which dot the wall. The wall panels they use (T-Wall from Germany) is also solid; It has good friction but not too grainy and rough on the skin (unlike Camp5). Overall it was a good experience and I left feeling pumped out and happy.

One slight problem is the location being a bit ulu at Toh Guan Road East, Enterprise Hub. Support brave young entrepreneurship! Go check it out for yourselves. :]

Just another random study (slack) session in school (Part2)

Spent my day burying myself in notes and trying hard to sleep, while Tron eyes the beautiful ladies beside me and A plays anti-social. I guess the group of people on Level 5 are all taking SC2215: The Sociology of Food, and the other two are either taking JS4209: Selected Topics in Japanese Linguistics or CS4247: Image Synthesis and Computer Animation.

Dinner was the usual treat by her highness at Botak Jones, then we headed to NTUC for some grocery shopping. (A, now you know what you missed - a free meal and shopping!!!)

The seniors who were studying with us earlier are not in the pic. One went climbing and Worming, one went back to his room to stop and stare (present in pic), and the author has no idea about the last one.

wooo!u guys shd go try this little cafe!they serve one of the best cakes i've ever had!

its called CANALE at Raffles City Shopping Mall!its at B2!and u wont miss it coz of its attractive glass like trays for its cake displays.makes one's mouth water!



this is Green Tea cake.for green tea lovers out there!

but beware, it is a tad too creamy for those who don like milky creamy stuff. but strange enough, i hate milk but i love it!haha.

this is their Chocolate, with rum cake. i love this.but couldnt finish it.coz it was abit too sweet.hahaha. 64% dark chocooo!!!

this is my personal favourite. its neither too sweet nor creamy.its the all time favourite STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE!mmmm..but nothing like that silly character in the "Strawberry Shortcake" cartoon.this one is yummy and super palatable!there are real strawberries inbetween the spongelayers!oOoOhhh.and i love the CREAM on top of the cake.



and finally, i think its the Singaporean culture to always leave a lil of whatever you eat as leftover!haha.3 girls and we couldnt finish 3 lil cakes!=(

Our quest for today: match the correct dish to the correct photo! These dishes were bought today over lunch at the Kovan Hub hawker centre. The crazy thing is that they all look the same, therefore the challenge.
